CF8 Stainless Steel Strainer Manufacturing
VTXFLOW manufactures strainers in ASTM A351 CF8 (304) — a general-purpose austenitic stainless steel with good corrosion resistance in mild media. With a working range of -196°C to +538°C, CF8 bodies suit water treatment and mild chemical duty across Class 150 to 2500 service.
CF8 (cast 304) covers the wide middle ground between carbon steel and CF8M: full stainless corrosion resistance without the molybdenum premium. It is the economical choice for water treatment, mild chemicals and hygiene-adjacent utilities where chlorides are not concentrated — if they are, upgrade to CF8M.
Every CF8 strainer is cast or forged in-house, machined on CNC centers and 100% shell and seat tested to API 598 / ISO 5208 before shipment, with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates traceable to the heat. PMI verification is available on request for stainless and alloy grades.
